About this activity
The Dream Sail has an upper deck for viewing the coconut lined, white sand beach, a lower deck for those who prefer the shade and a front deck netting area for basking in the sun. There are two washrooms and a dinning area below, where we provide snacks and beverages.
The tour will head to a natural coral reef where you will follow a professional guide and snorkel among the tropical fish and colorful flora and fauna. Back on board, with a tropical drink in hand and lively Caribbean music playing in the background, we'll cruise around Dolphin Island and a sharks and stingray tank. The trip concludes at the natural swimming pool where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea converge. The waist-high water provides an excellent opportunity to frolic in crystal clear water and of course this is where the party only begins.

We booked through Viator for El Gringo Catamaran. We didn't realize he was at our resort Bavaro at the end of the Adult pool side, so we just walked down to confirm our appointment in a couple of days. The day of our trip we (4 of us) we're the only ones that day so it was nice to be by ourselves. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. We had drinks fresh cut pineapple and chips and salsa. our guide for snorkeling was a pro. We went out and saw the most beautiful fish on the reef. We had a great time on this tour. My Wife, her Aunt, sister, and cousin traveled with us and we were the only family on the tour. Snorkel guide did his best to navigate around the crowds. The crew were very helpful and made for a relaxing atmosphere. When they took us to the sand bar they provided drinks and snacks and were very generous with both. Will be booking again with this crew next time we travel to Punta Cana.
We were a family group of 12 - 6 adults and 6 children ages 12-17. Upon boarding boat they took your shoes and you had to be barefoot on an extremely rough surface. Of course a photographer was on board and pushed pictures. Bathrooms were disgusting. Excursion was definitely geared more for adults and we wished we would have been aware of that and we would have chose another one. Alcohol was given freely to teenager and some of them got drunk. Besides them falling several times, getting scratched up on roughy surface and bleeding on us they started throwing up. After all 12 of us and another couple boarded our transportation back to hotel the driver left us sitting in this hot vehicle for a half hour while talking to the two parties that had throwing up teenagers who were also accompanied by adults/parent that could have handled this. Last - my husband noticed immediately after we left the vehicle that he dropped a plastic pouch with 50 in it and a pair of sunglasses in vehicle. He went to front desk to see if it was turned in by driver who had to notice it as we saw him checking vehicle after we got out. Nope no one turned it in! Very disappointing excursion for family!
The trip was pleasant however I felt that too much time was spent swimming. I would have enjoyed more sailing along the coast. The boat was not so full which was also nice. Staff was friendly.
Pick up at hotel was on time, great driver. The tour gave us time for snorkeling and a bit of shopping/browsing at the end. Guys on boat were experienced and friendly. We were four people and we all enjoyed this trip.
Catamaran cruise was nice. The manager/owner of the catamaran briefed my group on what to expect and he was very friendly as well as the staff. Tips are welcome. There was a photographer on the catamaran taking pictures and I ordered a copy of the CD containing pictures of my family. Once we arrived back on the beach I was informed that the CD maker was not working and to put a deposit down on the CD and they would deliver a copy of the CD to me at my resort the next day. I gave them my resort information and a 20.00 deposit. The next day I did not receive a call concerning the delivery of my CD and I am out of my 20.00 deposit.
