Scape Park Zipline and Hoyo Azul Tour

Following pickup at your Punta Cana hotel, meet your local guide and head for Cap Cana's Scape Park. This 2-hour zipline tour takes place in and around Cap Cana’s Farallon Cliff, towering 246 feet (75 meters) off the forest floor. After a safety briefing from certified instructors, get fitted into your harness and sail along nine double-cable ziplines through the treetop canopy. Speed up to a dizzying 40 miles (64 km) per hour, on cables stretching as long as 1,378 feet and as high as 148 feet (45 meters). Keep your eyes open for sweeping views of the beautiful resort grounds and the glittering Caribbean. In between platforms, you’ll climb a suspension bridge, enter a cave, rappel and walk along a via ferrata. Calm your speeding heart on four ecological trails and learn from on-site guides about the native plants and wildlife you spot along the way.

After the lunch break, be sure to bring close-toed shoes and a swimsuit. Upon arrival, trek along a nature trail with your guide, listening to commentary about the native plant and animal life and their roles in the Dominican ecosystem. Stop for closer looks at interesting specimens of cactus, fern, bromeliad and orchid. At the bottom of a cliff, you'll come upon Hoyo Azul, or the 'blue hole.' This natural limestone sinkhole is filled with crystal-clear aquamarine water just inviting you for a refreshing swim. Descend the wooden staircase and slip into the pristine subterranean pool, spending about a half an hour swimming before hiking back to your starting point. Lunch and round-trip transportation from Punta Cana hotels is included.
