Private Qingdao Day Tour: May 4th Square, St. Michael's Cathedral, local lunch

Your private 8-hour sightseeing tour starts at 9:00 am, and your professional guide will pick you up from your Qingdao city hotel. First, drive to the beautiful Fushan Mountain, one of Qingdao’s most amazing areas of natural beauty. Bring sensible shoes for walking that you will be comfortable in for the duration of the tour. The whole mountain range is about 5 km long and its peak is embedded into the city, boasting some of the best views of Qingdao that will be sure to take your breath away.

At around mid-day, continue your tour to the famous May 4th Square. The square sits on Qingdao’s coastline and is an absolute must-see. The large red sculpture situated in the middle of the square is synonymous with the city itself and is the perfect opportunity to learn more about China’s May 4th Movement, an integral episode in Qingdao’s modern history. 

Enjoy your lunch at Pichai Yuan street food market, with a wide array of food on offer, this is truly an opportunity to get a true flavor of the real China!

In the afternoon, visit Qingdao’s beautiful old town and travel around the most famous part of the city. Then take a short walk over to St. Michael’s Cathedral situated in the centre of Qingdao’s old town. Here you can marvel at the amazing European architecture and beautiful surroundings of the cathedral, all whilst getting a great view of Qingdao city from the hill on which St. Michael’s sits.

Afterwards, visit Signal Hill Park, again in Qingdao’s old town. Signal Hill is the perfect place to get the perfect panoramic pictures of the city and to fully appreciate the vastness of Qingdao. The sights don’t get much better than on top of Signal Hill Park!

After your tour is finished, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Qingdao city.
