About this activity
We start the tour in front of the main church of Old Lévis : Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire. We go to the main street, the Terrasse du Chevalier de Lévis to enjoy the best panoramic view over Quebec City, the Wolfe and Fraser streets and the Collège de Lévis and finally come back to the church. On the way, we'll see other churches, schools and many beautiful houses from the 1850s and early 1900s.

We'll mostly focus on the Canadian, Quebecer and Levisian XIXth century history :
- demographic evolution of the area,
- construction of the French-Canadian identity,
- architecture evolution for both houses and institutional buildings,
- life and economy in a city back to the XIXth century,
- British Empire geopolitics,
- construction of the modern Canada.

You'll also learn about the local history back to New France, the Conquest (French & Indians War with the famous siege of Quebec City -1759) and the American Independance War with Benedic Arnold.
