Beautiful scenery on the other side of the river. Loved all the stops, wineries, a cider place, chocolates and cassis, all using local products. Our tour guide/driver was enthusiastic and fun. Highest recommendation.

My daughter and I really enjoyed this tour. We were pleasantly surprised by all the locations and samples. This was the most relaxing tour we took while in Quebec City and the scenery on the island is absolutely beautiful. The Cider place was our favorite.

This was a good tour. We enjoyed our guide and the island. I would echo some other reviews in regards to the "food" portion of the tour. The samples were good, but small such as one chocolate or a small latte. The drink samples at the cider location were small, but I have been on other tours with some the same size. The Cassis wine samples were generous.

Good information and history of the island including explanation of the culture and architectural history. Also truly appreciated the treats and different stops.

Celine was a wonderful guide and driver! We had a very small group aboard our bus so everyone felt as if they got individual attention. The spots we visited on the island were very nice. Tried some wonderful chocolate, ice cream, wines, preserves, and nougat. Celine even took a little detour and we spent a few moments at Montmorency Falls where she took photos of our group and individually! She was excellent! The tastings we had were delicious!

My husband and i were able to enjoy an intimate tour if the island with another couple. Jacque was a wealth of information and was fun The one thing i might suggest is doing a more learning opportunity for the nougat and chocolate place like the vineyards

Wonderful 3 1/2 hour tour thru rural Island of Orleans, stopping at five local businesses that produce wines, jams and jellies, ciders and related products, chocolates, and nougat candies. Tour director Simon was friendly and knowledgeable and made the afternoon all the more pleasant. Would definitely recommend as an outing out of the city.

It's beautiful the Island of Orleans. I can see the beautiful sight, drink some wines. I recommend this if you don't have a car.

Let’s start with the fact that it was hotter in the bus with the “air conditioning” on than it was outside. I literally thought I was having heat stroke. The driver was nice and the island beautiful but the chosen stops questionable. The chocolate place was good but the tasting was 1 tiny piece of chocolate. Then a winery where you had to pay two dollars to taste the ice wine. Then a cider place which I skipped tasting because I felt so sick from the heat in the-bus. Bathrooms here were port a potties. Then on to a nugget place that gave you a taste of the most disgusting nugget ever, ugh. Than on to a blackberry, currants place that had tastings of crime de cassis. My friend went in the room three feet away to taste jellies and I stepped away from the bar for a minute only to have my glass taken away and the girl yelled at me that I should not have left. Really, who is the customer here ? Would anyone buy something if the sales people yell at you. I mean really horrible places! The island is beautiful and the farm stands looked wonderful although we never got to see them up close. This is one giant sales pitch at places you would not go, with the exception of the chocolate place. Drive yourself or hire a car but avoid this tour. Horrible 4 hours.

Our guide Jean-Christophe was really fun, and I enjoyed this tour. Personally I would have liked another winery over the Nougaterie stop, but in fairness, most seemed to enjoy it so I realize the goal is to have something for everyone.

All in all, I would give this tour a 7/10. We were 10 people, small groups are nice, most were from Florida and Colorado....I live in Quebec City. Let's start with the positive the description of the tour is spot on. We stopped for about 10-15 min in each of the 5 stops. The guide was knowledgeable with the main history facts and dates interesting. Where I have SOME qualms are with the following: As we accessed the island, the guide mentioned that there are 5 villages on the isle, never did he mention the names as we drove through. Second, I'm not a Felix Leclerc fan and all visitors from the US probably have never heard of him, but Félix was and still is one of the most important poet and song writer of Quebec, he lived on the island and was one of best promoters of the Isle of Orleans. Never was his name mentioned, it would have been nice. About the places we visited, Maison Smith, wonderful welcome and most delicious coffee I want to go back and sit on their terrace this summer La Chocolaterie, it was our driver that passed around a platter of chocolate, never did one of the people behind the counter offer to answer questions, or offer information about the history of the place or how the chocolate is made, this was disappointing. Ciderie Bilodeau, very nice lady, lots of info and wonderful products. La Nougaterie, nice welcome and explanations on the products. Last but not least, Cassis Mona and Filles, very nice welcome and very well explained and good service. This tour is offered in the morning 10 am, this is the one I took and afternoon. I strongly suggest not to take the morning one, all the alcohols that are offered 9 in all have high, over 10, alcohols levels. This is hard on a possibly empty stomach. This is not a tour for children, they will be bord. That said..... The tour is a nice activity to do, if the sun had been with us it would have been all the more enjoyable.
