During the 2. 5 hrs walking the Old Town you will visit of the principal sites that earned Québec City its World Treasure designation from UNESCO, including, Plains of Abraham Park, Western Fortifications, Parlement House and Tourney Fountain. You will learn how Place Royale became the city's birthplace, how Champlain created a vast fur trading network that eventually extended through the great lakes and all the way down to New Orleans; how he set the stage for colinisation.
Your guide will provide a geo-political sketch that connects the dots between Québec City, the French Indian War and the American War of Independence.
