Half Day Family Adventures

You'll start your activity by meeting at our check in desk at Outside Sports, on Shotover Street. From here, your Guide will take you to our equipment store to get equipped for your day. After checking in and getting kitted up, you'll be taken to your activity.
Rock Climbing is a maximum of ten minutes drive from Queenstown, and the specific area will be chose depending on your family's ability and experience level. All of the rock climbing sites have multiple climbs of various grades, meaning that no matter what your individual family members would like, The challenge will be just right for everyone. Your Guide will teach the basics on how to control the ropes for each other (belay), so that everyone is involved all of the time.
Alpine Guided Short Walks are only a 30 minute drive from Queenstown, and you'll be hiking on the iconic Remarkables Alpine ridge. This iconic mountain range features as the backdrop for many Lord of The Rings scenes! On your hike, you'll experience Mile high views over the Queensotwn and Lake Wakatipu basin. At the same time, your guide will provide an in depth interpretation of the local Flora and Fauna, history and local legends. A truly exhilarating and authentic way to experience the remote treasures of this alpine paradise.
They're suitable for all ages, ability levels and experience, but sturdy footwear should be worn (can be hired in town).
In Winter we get the snowshoes on for our Remarkables Alpine Guided Snowshoe. If you thought the views would be awesome in Summer, just wait till you see the snowcapped mountains in Winter! This amazing experience gets you away from the ski fields and into a true Alpine environment.
