Make your way to the jet boat base in Queenstown to meet your driver-guide, who will give you a safety briefing and overview about the powerful boat. Engineered to skim across shallow water and perform tight turns, the jet boat allows you access to places that other boats cannot go.
As you race across Lake Wakatipu, admire stunning views of Queenstown Bay, the Remarkables Range, Cecil Peak and Kelvin Peninsula. Note the eclectic mix of architecture in the buildings along the town waterfront, and hear from your driver about the history, geology and wildlife of the area. Then hang on as you zip under the Kawarau Bridge, gateway to the spectacular wilderness beyond the Kawarau Falls Dam.
Travel up the Kawarau River, navigating through narrow passageways and tight curves while your driver performs tricks like 360-degree spin, fishtails and long slides that kick up sheets of spray. This thrilling ride covers 29 miles (47 km) of waterways at speeds up to 60 mph (95 kph).
Your tour ends back at the dock in Queenstown.
