Your hotel stands watch over the Santo Domingo Square, which has been declared historical heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Guests are well situated to explore the local churches, museums and theatres on foot, and the well connected local bus stops right outside the front door.
  • Early in the morning take a taxi to Quito Airport. We recommend ordering the taxi the night before via the hotel reception.
  • At the Departures Hall, line up at the counter of the Consejo de Gobierno to purchase your Transit Control Card (Galapagos Migration Card). It costs $20 per person and can be paid in cash or by credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). Afterwards your luggage will be checked and sealed. Please note that it is illegal to introduce any open foods, plants, seeds, or fruits to Galapagos. After that, please go to the counter of your airline for baggage delivery. Upon arrival at San Cristóbal Airport, entrance fee to the Galapagos National Park is due. It costs $100 per person and can only be paid in cash. We strongly suggest carrying the exact change for this. At the airport there are local taxis ready to take you to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to spend at your leisure. Welcome to Paradise!
  • Independent Exploration of Tortuga Bay: Mockingbird songs fill the air and scurrying lava lizards cross the path to the sandy beach. On the shore, marine iguanas sun themselves along the peninsula of black lava. Blue-footed boobies rule the shoreline. At the end of the beach you will find a quiet bay where you can swim and even borrow a kayak to get closer to the big stingrays and sea turtles. Opening hours Tortuga Bay: 6 am - 5 pm daily Please note: You must register your visit with the park ranger at the entrance. It is not allowed to spend the night on the beach. Please don't forget to sign out at the end of your visit.
  • Hike up to the Cerro Tijeretas - directly translated: Frigatebird Rock: As the name already suggests, this visitor point is home to innumerable frigatebirds, who also choose this place as a nesting site. Marvel at the Pirates of the skies" with their red throat sacs and black plumage. Did you know that they can not dive into the water and are often forced to steal prey from other seabirds to survive? Did you know that frigatebirds can fly for weeks at a time? Cerro Tijeretas is the ideal place to enjoy a spectacular view of the rooftops of the provincial capital of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, and the volcanic rocks contrasting against the white sand of the Island's dazzling bright beaches. For groups of 5 or more people, National Park regulations require you to have a certified guide present.
  • An impressive rock formation towering 150 meters above the Pacific Ocean, León Dormido (aka Kicker Rock) hosts a tropical underwater playground in the narrow channel between the two rocks. From a distance, locals thought they saw a sleeping lion in the rock formation, while, from the other direction, the British saw a boot.
  • Whether a lion or a boot, the tropical birds at home on León Dormido don't seem to mind. Blue-footed boobies, red-billed tropicbirds, and frigatebirds regularly enchant visitors with their daring flight maneuvers, as they hunt and socialise around this ancient volcanic cone.
  • In the 19 meters between the surface and the seabed, León Dormido offers snorkelers and divers a dazzling array of sealife. White tip reef sharks, Galapagos sharks and even hammerhead sharks are often seen darting between spotted eagle rays and sea turtles.
  • After snorkelling, enjoy lunch in the nearby bay.

Your free baggage allowance for this flight is 23 kg per person
  • Enjoy the bird's eye view of the Galapagos Islands. At Puerto Villamil Airport on Isabela Island, local taxis are available to take you to your hotel.
  • Snorkeling in the natural pools Concha Perla: This trip should not be missed in your Galapagos experience. You can go on your own or with a nature guide. Groups of 5 or more require the accompaniment of a nature guide when visiting the National Park.
  • The natural pools of Concha Perla are just a short stroll from the harbor in Puerto Villamil. A wooden path leads you through mangrove forests, where you meet up with the sea lions and marine iguanas that make themselves comfortable on the jetty. Snorkel or swim from the jetty and dive into the fascinating underwater world.
  • Don't forget to bring your snorkeling gear and towels. We also suggest bringing some shoes appropriate for swimming. There are no showers at Concha Perla.
  • Visit a spectacular natural habitat for the exceptional wildlife that only the Los Tuneles can offer you. The collapsed lava tubes invite you on an otherworldly journey to a unique sanctuary for fascinating animals on land and underwater. Exotic shorebirds accompany visitors ashore. Manta rays, seahorses, sharks, turtles and other sea creatures frolic in the water, against the majestic backdrop of the Sierra Negra volcano.

  • The Wall of Tears: The Wall of Tears is about 150 meters long and was built under cruel conditions by convicts of the infamous penal colony "Porvenir" in the 40s and 50s. First named the Wall of Tears by local residents, who state that the wall often emits an eerie, crying sound and the area is said to have a "heavy energy". The penal colony was closed after a prison uprising in 1959, but the wall remains intact as a memorial to the large number who needlessly lost their lives during the construction of the wall. Rumor has it that there are still descendants of the prison escapees living on the island.
  • The Los Humedales Wetlands. Many people consider Los Humedales to be one of Isabela's most spectacular hidden gems. The wetlands house all four mangrove species found in the archipelago. Following along the paths of the wetlands, you can admire the unique landscape of volcanoes, islets and rocks. You will discover secluded beaches, natural pools, lava tunnels and a nesting site for many of the island's flamingo population. In recent years, graduates of the Isabela Breeding Center's giant tortoise breeding and release program have been released in to this area, so you may encounter some small 5 year old and 25 year old giant tortoises in the wild.
  • Flamingo Lagoon: Afterward, ride to the Flamingo Lagoon just beyond the tortoise breeding center. The small lagoon offers the best opportunity to see flamingos up close. Enjoy the unique atmosphere and relax for a few minutes on the quiet saltwater lake, watching as the chattering flamingos forage for food. For groups of 5 or more people, National Park regulations require you to have a certified guide present.
  • Early in the morning take a taxi to the port of Puerto Villamil and transfer to Santa Cruz. We recommend ordering the taxi the night before via the hotel reception. Taxis are available at the Santa Cruz pier to take you to your hotel.
  • in theafternoon, enjoy a 3 hour excursion through the bays around Puerto Ayora. The Bay Tour boat takes you to to the island of Camano to watch sea lions lazing on the shores of La Lobería. This beach has clearly earned its English name - Sea Lion Beach. If the water is calm, we encourage you to grab your snorkelling equipment and jump in the water here. The gorgeous waters here are full of friendly sea lions and schools of tropical fish.
  • Continue to Punta Estrada with its small lighthouse. Along the rocky coast, you can see several Galapagos seabirds that call this area home, including blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds. You can also snorkel at Punta Estrada.
  • The tour continues to the Canal del Amor and the Canal de los Tiburones - the channel of the sharks. You will be lead through the dry zone to the Playa de los Perros, where you can watch the cheeky marine iguanas who sunbathe on the rocks. The next stop is the Bay of Franklin. Sea turtles, golden rays, and eagle rays are often found playing in the waters here. Depending on the season, you can also see the nesting pelicans and herons in the mangrove area.
  • The tour concludes at Las Grietas - a canyon offering a beautiful walk, as well as crystal clear waters for swimming.

It is only about two square kilometers in size and, above all, is known for of the intensive courtship rituals of the magnificent frigatebirds taking place here during mating season. The island is home to large colonies of land iguanas, marine iguanas and sea lions. The characteristic bush landscape features diverse species of animals amongst the aromatic endemic balsa trees.
  • After two hours well spent exploring the island, you return to the boat. Travel to the north coast of Santa Cruz Island, where you will visit Las Bachas Beach - one of the most important nesting sites for the Galapagos Island's sea turtle population.
  • A hidden lagoon behind the bay reveals a treasure trove of animal sightings - sunbathing iguanas, curious shorebirds, and Darwin finches, mockingbirds and seagulls frolic here. Native plant life is also interesting in this area. Red and black mangroves and salt bushes line the edges of the pond.
  • In this heavenly place you will also find the remains of barges that sank long ago when the US Navy operated a base on the island of Baltra during the Second World War. Local people changed the word Barges to "Bachas"

Here you will see a variety of underwater animals including manta rays, sea lions, sharks and large schools of tropical reef fish. You have the opportunity to fish at Tiburon Arrecho seamount and make a final stop to grill your catch at Bahia Borrero, a spectacular white sand beach known for the high numbers of breeding sea turtles in shallow waters between December and March.
  • Snorkeling at Pinzon Island: The calm, crystalline waters of Pinzon Island attract both amateur and professional snorkelers. Penguin Bay, at Pinzon Island has a shallow, protected cove with wonderful visibility conditions. Its location at the center of the main archipelago lends wonderful conditions for incredible biodiversity.
