ALL INCLUSIVE COCHASQUÍ PYRAMIDS, ROSES PLANTATION AND OTAVALO MARKET DAY TOUR
We start this unique and fabulous adventure at 8:15 a.m. from our meeting point located at the “Food Garden La Pradera” (Av. República and La Pradera St., in front of the “Movistar” building)! Cochasquí is one of the biggest and most important archaeological sites of Ecuador located in the northern Andes. The complex has fifteen pyramids and several thumbs (tolas) that belong the period 850 B.C. – 1.550 A.C. In this amazing place we will have the opportunity to be surrounded by hundreds of llamas, while we learn all about the Caranquis, one of the most developed and unknown civilizations in South America!
During our walk it will be possible to spot interesting creatures like owls and foxes! After our unforgettable hike through the Kapac Ñan (Inca trail), admiring stunning views of the avenue of the volcanoes, we will drive downhill way to a rose farm to learn all about the fifth main industry of Ecuador! We will see everything about the process of growing, harvesting and exporting roses. We will have lunch at a beautiful viewpoint, and then finally we arrive at the Otavalo market or “Plaza de Ponchos” showing varied handmade indigenous handicrafts. Free time to explore the market for doing spectacular photography and shopping. We’ll be back in Quito approximately at 17h30. End of this unforgettable experience in the northern Andes of Ecuador!
