Cloud Forest Day Trip with Chocolate Tasting from Quito

Start your day at 7:40am with a pickup from your Quito hotel. At 8:30am, stop in the small village of Nanegalito to taste some of the best empanadas of the region. Take your first guided tour of an organic cacao farm come 9:30am and take the opportunity to make your own chocolate with toasted beans. Next, return near Mindo to taste one of the finest chocolate of Ecuador, during the chocolate factory tour. Break for lunch at 1:30pm at one of the local restaurants.

After lunch, visit the incredibly beautiful and well preserved reserve of Bellavista. It is part of the Mindo Area of International Importance for Birds, the first area so designated in South America. The reserve has diverse trails, depending on your interests, the guide will choose one. Take part in some bird watching before coming back for coffee. Return to Quito by 4:40pm to pay a visit to the Intinan Museum, where you will learn about the culture and center of the world's history. The driver will bring you back to your accommodations by the end of the tour.
