Private Full-Day Mindo Cloud Forest, Butterfly Farm, and Chocolate Tour from Quito
Your guide will meet you at your hotel at 8 AM and take you on this exciting excursion to Mindo’s Cloud Forest. During the 2 hour drive you can appreciate the transformation of the dry vegetation into a lush green forest. Up to 3 passengers will be accommodated in a SUV. Groups with more than 3 passengers will be accommodated in either a H1 Hyundai, County bus or tour bus depending on the number of passengers and availability. All vehicles are equipped with air conditioning.
Upon arrival you will first visit the Mindo butterfly farm. Here you can observe their four-stage life cycle while enjoying the presence of many beautiful colorful butterflies. If you are lucky you will see one or more butterflies emerging from their cocoons.
If you like chocolate then you will love our next stop; the Chocolate factory. In a guided tour you will be shown how chocolate is being made from ‘bean to bar’. The most exciting part for some is tasting the different flavors of chocolate.
The rest of the day can be spent according to your interests. You can enjoy from activities such as hiking, zip-lining or visit one of the Orchid farms.
At the end of the day your guide will take you back to your hotel where you will arrive around 5 PM.
