About this activity
Witness the infamous trial of the man who killed Wild Bill Hickok. The Trial of Jack McCall is an entertaining, family-friendly play where audience members may be chosen to participate as members of the jury during the trial.

On August 2, 1876, Wild Bill Hickok was playing a poker game with his back to the door. Jack McCall, apparently resentful from losing several hands of poker the previous day, entered Nuttal and Mann's and shot Wild Bill in the back of the head, killing him instantly. McCall attempted to flee by running from the saloon and trying to steal a horse but was eventually found hiding and apprehended.

This hour long play re-enacts the capture and trial of Jack McCall on Main Street in Deadwood six days a week.
