Ravenna Capital of Mosaics

Our itineary starts from the church of Santa Apollinare Nuovo, visiting its beautiful mosaics that are placed on the walls of the nave. Did you know that king Theodoric dedicated this church to the Arian cult?

We're moving towards the Dante’s thumb crossing the Church of San Francesco with its crypt under water. Do you know why Dante Alighieri (most famous Italian poet) died here in Ravenna?
