You will be picked up at 9.30am and start your tour at Taittinger Champagne House. With 288 hectares located in 34 different vineyards, some of them in the finest terroirs, Taittinger is an institution in Reims. This tour will teach you everything about the grape varieties, the blending, the double fermentation, the soils, the champagne aging.

You will then enjoy sightseeing of the city of Reims. You will get some free time for lunch at your leisure.

After lunch, you will drive to Epernay with a stop in Hautvillers on the way to discover the church of Hautvillers where Dom Perignon is buried. You will be delighted by the spectacular views on the valley and Epernay. Epernay’s Avenue de Champagne is where the most prestigious Maisons de Champagne are located, for example Moët & Chandon, Perrier-Jouet, Mercier, and much more.

You will start your guided tour and tasting at Moët & Chandon. The House was founded in 1743 by Claude Möet. Its history is linked to some famous figures such as The Marquise de Pompadour and Napoleon 1st. Discover everything about the Champagne making: the grape varieties, the blending, the double fermentation etc You will be amazed at the length of the limestone galleries, ideal place to age the champagne. It is probably nowadays the most famous Champagne brand around the world.

You will be back at around 5.00pm at Reims Train Station forecourt.
