Day 1: Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon & Reykjavik

Stop At: Golden Circle Route, Iceland
Your 3-day adventure starts with an afternoon pick up from authorized Reykjavik pick up points. From the capital, you will head towards the famous Golden Circle. First up is Thingvellir National Park, A UNESCO World Heritage site. Thingvellir is rich with historical and geological wonders such as the oldest parliament in the world, Althingi. Take a walk in the rift valley that has been formed by the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates drifting apart before making your way to Geysir Hot Spring area. At Geysir experience gurgling and spouting geysers spout waters up to 40 meters high. Geysir is a favorite stop for many along the popular Golden Circle route.

Next up is Gullfoss. This mighty waterfall sometimes referred to as the Golden Falls is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland. This iconic waterfall cascading 32m in two stages is the perfect stop for a great photo so make sure to bring your camera along.

After visiting all 3 of the attractions of the Golden Circle you will return back to Reykjavik in time to catch the shuttle bus to the Blue Lagoon.

Stop At: Blue Lagoon, Nordurljosavegur 9, Grindavik 240 Iceland
After your Golden Circle tour, you will be dropped of at BSI Bus Terminal from there you will catch a shuttle bus to the Blue Lagoon for some relaxation. After the Blue Lagoon you will return back to your accommodation for the night in Reykjavik.

Day 2: South Coast

Stop At: Seljalandsfoss, Hella Iceland
You will be picked up at 9am am from your Reykjavik hotel and head towards the magical south coast. The south coast of Iceland holds some of the island's most beloved jewels such as Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Skogafoss Waterfall, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach and Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. Your first stop will be at the unique Seljalandsfoss Waterfall where if conditions allow you are able to walk behind. Admire the cascading water before continuing to Skogafoss waterfall as one can simply not get enough of the Icelandic waterfalls.

Stop At: Reynisfjara Beach, Route 215, Vik Iceland
As you continue your drive along the south coast you will arrive at Reynisfjara Black Sand beach. This unusual beach is best known for its black sands. See the picturesque basalt columns and Reynisdrangar peaks as you walk around the beach. After Reynisfjara you will drive through the small town of Vik before making your way to your accommodation for the night.

Day 3: Jokulsarlon Lagoon, Diamond Beach & Ice Cave

Stop At: Glacier Lagoon, Skaftafell National Park Route 1, Jokulsarlon 781 Iceland
Your last day will be full of glacier explorations. Visit the dazzling Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and stunning Diamond beach for some great photo opportunities. See some incredible icebergs and ice sculptures before joining your certified glacier guide for an ice caving adventure. The natural ice cave with its heavenly frozen surroundings will blow you away. Explore all that this unique natural wonder has to offer before making your way back to Reykjavik where your 3-day tour ends.

Stop At: Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre, Austurbakki 2, Reykjavik 101 Iceland
After visiting Jokulsarlon, the Diamond beach and exploring a natural ice cave you will head back towards Reykjavik. If conditions are in our favor we might even be able to spot the magical northern lights. Approximate arrival time to Reykjavik is around 21:00 pm.

  • This is a combination tour which means that you will participate in three different tours. This also means that you, together with other participants on this tour, will have three guides that specialize in different areas for each tour, an experienced Golden Circle guide, expert Northern Lights guide and knowledgeable South Coast driver guide. Your group will also get your very own certified Glacier Guide for the ice cave part of the tour.
  • Warm outdoor layers (wool, fleece or synthetic are best, not cotton), a waterproof jacket and pants, head wear and gloves. Good hiking shoes are essential.
  • Waterproof clothing and hiking shoes can be rented from the operator for a small fee. Make sure to contact them prior to your tour departure if you wish to rent gear.
  • Please note that the northern lights are a natural wonder and can therefore not be guaranteed.
  • We use a couple of different ice caves for this tour. Ice caves are ever-changing and unpredictable natural phenomena. We usually visit the Crystal Cave at Breiðmerkurjökull during this tour but when the Crystal Cave is inaccessible we will most likely visit Katla Ice Cave. Which ice cave is chosen will however always depend upon the conditions and safety considerations on the day, sometimes a different ice cave will be visited. If conditions do not allow us to visit an ice cave a glacier hike will be offered as an alternative.
