This trip was so much more than we expected. It was packed with experiences yet very well orgainized. Our guide, Omar, was very informative and fun to be with. The mini bus was pristine and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the overnight stay at the Hotel Hofn in Hofn and the dinner there was worthy of 5 stars. We highly recommend this tour and would book it again in a heartbeat!

My cousin and I went on this amazing tour during the first week of March. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights every single night. Thanks to Guide Lofter and the Driver Berdi for an unforgettable experience. Both were very knowledgeable of Iceland and I was thankful to hear of the history and natural occurrences that have taken place on the unique island over the past centuries. The guides were very passionate to speak and answer my many questions of everything that is Iceland. They took us to not just the scheduled locations described on the Viator website but to many other hotspots and secret locations on the South Shore of Iceland. I was very impressed by the Icelandic way of using fresh water, and if Berdi were to read this review I would tell him that I could sit at that one lake and drink from the natural spring forever looking at the ducks and geese. The hotels were amazing and very accommodating for us high-standard Canadians haha. I would recommend wearing waterproof clothing, bringing a good camera and going on this tour right when get to Iceland. For us, we were there 10 days and did this trip the first three days, it was a good introduction to the country and was an opportunity to ask questions. I would recommend going February-MidMarch, when you will see the northern lights and not feel overly cold. We will definitely return to Iceland one day, thanks again Lofter and Berdi!

This is a great trip and our guide Lydia is a nice and charming girl who tells us a lot of interesting stuffs! She brought us to the spot where games of thrones season 3 were filmed and let us stop to take photos with Icelandic horses. Besides, the trip was well organized. We saw the ice cave, plenty of beautiful waterfalls, and walked on the glacier with safety guidance. We made stops at gas stations for rests and meals, and thus had abundant choices for foods and souvenirs. The hotels we stayed are also wonderful, for northern lights and hot tube although we couldn't enjoy it due to winter duration. Some more feelings to say. The blue glaciers and black sand beach are among the most impressive sightseeings I've seen. The spring break is not a perfect time to see the ice cave and the weather in Iceland is pretty unproductive, otherwise everything is fantastic. Anyway, traveling comes with good lucks and bad lucks, and the tour company using their local knowledge has optimized our enjoyable moments! I liked the snows so much and wished I could spend more days here.

South Coast Beauty, Highlights and Hidden Gems! This trip was the best value for the money of our week in Iceland. In addition to taking us to all of the breathtaking places listed on the itinerary our guide, Oddur Ari, knew hidden local spots enjoyed by locals and only just being discovered by tourists. As part of a well-connected web of folks dedicated to making sure we had a great time Oddur and our driver, Bjarni, were both amazing. They took time to answer questions, helped us practice our pronunciation, and helped us maximize our sightseeing time. This is an active trip, so dress for water spray when you venture behind the falls, bring an extra pair of socks if your boots get damp on the glacier, and be ready to embrace new fun experiences!

This tour was amazing! It was worth every penny. Oddur was an amazing tour guide and Bjarni was a great driver. They were both really friendly and easy to talk to. The activities and spots they took us to were beautiful and amazing. The best parts of the tour was the glacier hiking Another great spot was Oddur's secret spot. Only suggestion would be to do group activities and icebreakers on the bus. It'll help bring everyone on the tour together.

My tour guide Vela made this tour experience absolutely wonderful. I traveled solo to Iceland so I have a unique experience to share. The tour started in Reykjavik and from there we went to a myriad of small towns along the southern coast of Iceland. We hiked glaciers, saw geysers erupt, relaxed in a environmentally friendly green house that made tomatoes, saw the golden circle highlights and more. My favorite was the first day where we donned our crampons and hiked a live glacier! The tour bus had about 15 other travelers on it. This was a good size because you got to know everyone on your trip pretty well. The other travelers and you will ride the bus together majority of the time is spent travelling, dine together, and go to excursions together. My tour guide Vela gave me company since I was the only person that traveled alone on my trip. It worked out well and I had a great time getting to know everyone on the trip. Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait until my next trip with Viator!
