Day 1: Arrival

Stop At: Laugavegur, Reykjavik Iceland
Welcome to the World’s Northernmost Capital City.

Arrival in Iceland and transfer to your hotel. Airport transfers is not included, but we would be happy to arrange a scheduled or private transfer. One popular suggestion is to book a transfer that also includes visiting the Blue Lagoon.

If you arrive early, you might have time for a half-day or evening excursion. From whale watching to caving or horseback riding, there are plenty of possibilities. Let us know your interests, and we can give you some day tour suggestions.

Day 2: Reykjavik Food Walk

Stop At: Laugavegur, Reykjavik Iceland
Breakfast at your hotel. Today you'll meet up with your local guide outside Harpa Music Hall. Please note transfer from your hotel to Harpa is not included. The food and culture walk is led by a fun and knowledgeable local guide who’ll take you to everything from well-known ‘must visit’ restaurants to small family- run businesses and secret local hangouts in Reykjavik. You’ll taste delicious local cuisine such as an Icelandic hot dog (pylsa), traditional Icelandic meat soup, homemade Icelandic ice cream from a secret family recipe and of course; The healthy Skyr yogurt.

This is a small group experience where you’ll explore the local side of Reykjavik, meet hard-working families, hear fascinating stories, dine in ambitious restaurants and experience age-old traditions. It’s an absolute must-do tour for any food lover visiting Reykjavik!

The afternoon and evening are open for your own activities. We suggest a visit to one of the many museums or art galleries around The city. Some recommendations include the Wonders of Iceland interactive museum at Perlan, the Reykjavik Art Museum and The Settlement Exhibition that includes the excavated remains of a Viking longhouse. We’re happy to make recommendations and book admission for you.

Day 3: Golden Circle and The Secret Lagoon

Stop At: Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin, Hvammsvegur, Fludir 845 Iceland
A leisurely soak in the Secret Lagoon, one of the oldest natural geothermal pools in Iceland
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland
Next up, a drive to the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur Valley with many bubbling pools and spouting geysers
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland
Continue to Gullfoss, the 'Golden Waterfall', The most famous of the country's many waterfalls. Here the river Hvita drops 96 feet (30 meters) in two falls, creating an awesome spectacle
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Pingvellir, Thingvellir 801 Iceland
Then onward to the historic and geological wonder of Thingvellir National Park, one of the most outstanding landscapes in The country. The area is surrounded by mountains and encompasses a vast lava plain and Iceland’s largest lake. In 2004, Thingvellir was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Day 4: Departure

Stop At: Laugavegur, Reykjavik Iceland
If your flight is in the afternoon, use your last moments to walk along the harbour seafront and breathe the fresh Atlantic breeze. If you still need to relax, visit one of the city's swimming pools. There you can chat with the locals while lounging in the geothermal steam.
