Day 1: Golden Circle, Fridheimar & Fontana Spa
Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland
At Thingvellir national park we will see the effects of the tectonic plates on the landscape. We will see Iceland's largest lake, Thingvallavatn and we will get to know all the history related to this first national park of Iceland. For example, the viking settlers of Iceland decided to form a parliament there in the year 930 and call it Alþingi. It still has the same name and is the oldest working parliament in the world.

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland
At Gullfoss waterfall, you will see the majestic waterfall that came close to be destroyed in the beginning of the 20.th century when foreign entities were going to harness it's power.

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland
At Geysir geothermal area, we will see a lot of beautiful hot springs. We will see the old Geysir which used to spout high in the air until the year 2000 when it stopped. There is a hot spring there called Strokkur which currently spouts every few minutes.

At this beautiful place we will sit down inside a greenhouse that grows tomatoes. In the year 2012 the family that owns the farm opened a small restaurant inside one of the greenhouses. The menu was and is simple, the world's best tomato soup and freshly baked bread. The desserts are Tomato Ice Cream, Tomato Cheese Cake and Tomato Apple Pie. This lunch is an extra cost and can be booked as an option when you book the tour.

Námaskarð Pass is a geothermal area on the mountain Námafjall, in north Iceland, less than half an hour’s drive from Lake Mývatn. It is located by Route 1, which encircles the country.

Day 5: Lake Myvatn, Dimmuborgir & Godafoss waterfall

Mývatn is a beautiful lake with many small islands in the north of Iceland, the fourth largest lake in the country. Due to its serenity, birdlife and volcanism, the lake, including its surrounding area, is one of the most amazing natural attractions in the country.
Mývatn is, in fact, so beautiful that is was used as a site in the Game of Thrones franchise. In mid-winter it was used to represent the lands North of the Wall, namely Mance Raider’s Wildling camp.

Stop At: Skutustaoagigar, Reykjahlid, Lake Myvatn Iceland
Skútustaðagígar is the name of a row of pseudo-craters in north Iceland.
The Skútustaðagígar Craters are found in the Lake Mývatn area, which is very volcanic, being near to the Krafla volcano system. The nature of the lake itself and the volcanism of the region both led to the creation of these unusual formations.
During an eruptions, lava ran across the area of Skútustaðagígar, which at the time was swampy wetlands. The heat caused steam eruptions, which resulted in their crater-like shape.
As they were not the sources of lava, or volcanoes in themselves, they are not considered true craters.

Stop At: Dimmuborgir Lava Formations, Lake Myvatn Iceland
Dimmuborgir, or the Black Fortress, is a dramatic expanse of lava in the Lake Mývatn area. Steeped with folklore, it is one of the most popular destinations for travellers to north Iceland.
Dimmuborgir was formed in an eruption that occurred in the area 2,300 years ago; the Lake Mývatn area is highly volcanic, as can be further seen in nearby locations such as the geothermal Námaskarð Pass, the hot spring cave Grjótagjá, and the dramatic Krafla fissure.
As lava flowed across the area, it passed over a lake, causing it to boil. This both quickened the cooling of the lava and caused pillars of steam to shatter parts of it. After it solidified, Dimmuborgir area became defined by large stacks of rock and many caves and caverns, caused by bubbles of intense steam.
As such, many have compared Dimmuborgir to a medieval castle, with its many hidden chambers and its rising towers.

Goðafoss waterfall is located in the river Skjálfandafljót in north Iceland, the fourth largest river in Iceland. It is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the country, falling from a height of 12 metres (39 feet) over a width of 30 metres (98 feet).
The name Goðafoss means either waterfall of the gods or waterfall of the 'goði' (i.e. priest/ chieftain). The reason for this is its fascinating history.

For centuries, the geothermal heat north of Húsavík has been known to residents, who have utilized it for bathing and washing. Drilling for hot water at Húsavíkurhöfði in the mid-20th century revealed water that turned out to be hot seawater, too rich in minerals to be suitable for heating houses.
