Visit: Reykjavik Family park and Zoo, Engjavegur, Reykjavik 104 Iceland

In the heart of the City of Reykjavik in an area called Laugardalur (Hot Spring Valley) you can find The Family Park and Zoo –its without a doubt the most attractive area of Reykjavik. Our neighbours include, to name but few, the Botanical Gardens, Iceland´s National Stadium and Iceland´s largest geothermal pool.
Many more facilities have and are being built for the residents of Reykjavik and its visitors offering tranquility and great past time experiences. Our Family Park and Zoo is without a doubt one of the main contributors and well worth a visit for true Icelandic experience all year round.
The zoo focuses mainly on farm animals, particularly the ones that have been here since the settlement, but you can also see reindeer, arctic foxes and seals. In addition we exhibit some exotic species
Our funfair is open everyday in summer but only weekends in winter time, all depending on weather.
