I took the small group tour and it was two other women, our guide Dakmar and myself. Dakmar was informative as well as enthusiastic about Iceland. Along the way she shared with us fun facts about the culture as well as some folklores. She even helped me navigate the stairs and walk way so that I could go behind a waterfall. I would recommend this tour with Greyline.

Viator was only a sales broker here, though from the website / brochure you'd think they were obviously the tour operator. This was misleading as it's actually a GRAY LINE tour, which I only found out after the ticket was received. Also, Viator promised a direct hotel pickup (as I verified by asking them repeatedly and precisely), but when I called to confirm the time, was told by Gray Line that Viator was wrong, should never have promised this, and they CANNOT pick up from hotel. Therefore if you don't want to risk having to walk to a bus stop in horrible weather, do not book this thinking they will pick you up at your lodging. Additionally you will have to change buses at the Gray Line terminal (process was quick). However, the nearly 300-mi tour once on the small Gray Line bus was terrific, though there are long drives between some of the stops due of course to the geography. There was ample time at most of the stops, though I would have made a few adjustments, nothing major. Simon's cheerful commentary hit all the important points, and he was happy to answer any questions. Be really careful selecting walking gear for the slippery rocks / boulders by waterfalls, as slip risks are significant at spots. Also you may want to take a power brick for your phone if you take a lot of pics, as there were no power outlets on the bus. Wi-Fi was adequate for texting but not sending images. Also they do not want hot drinks or eating on the bus.
