Golden Circle Evening Tour

There’s a good reason the Golden Circle has been one of the most popular tours in the history of Icelandic tourism. It features some of Iceland’s most iconic natural and historical destinations. In an effort to put a little twist on this classic, we decided to offer the Golden Circle Express a little later than usual. This is a particularly appealing time to go since most sightseers will already have returned to the city and the light at the end of the day can be spectacular. Our first stop is Þingvellir National Park, the founding site for Iceland’s national parliament. There visitors learn about the birth of Icelandic democracy from our expert guides. The landscape of Þingvellir is particularly striking in the gentle yellow light of the evening sun and the same can be said about Gullfoss waterfall, our next destination. The ability to experience these sites in your own time after the crowds have gone home is truly rewarding. On our way back to Reykjavik we visit Geysir geothermal area, the home to Geysir and Strokkur hot springs. Golden Circle is definatley a must-do in Iceland and by going a little bit later, you can make the experience even more unique.
