Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland

Our first stop is Þingvellir national park, located on the rift between the two continental tectonic plates, a gorgeous location where one of the worlds oldest parliaments took place as soon as in 920 A.C. when the Viking chieftains held their court.

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland

Gullfoss waterfall is next on our to do list. The waterfall is especially spectacular in spring time as the smelting water from the glacier is released by the rising heat. The magnitude of it and the sheer volume is breathtaking and standing next to it you will have to yell in your friends ear to be heard. It´s loud, wet and magnificent.

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland

Haukadalur valley where the famous Icelandic erupting hot springs or Geysir´s are and you will definitely get some good pictures there for your social media profile.

Stop At: Kerid Crater, Route 35, Selfoss Iceland

Kerið volcanic lava lake is also on our way, a beautiful and mysterious site with unbelievable colors and a very popular location for movies, music videos and such, as it looks like it is located on a different planet than Earth.

Stop At: Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin, Hvammsvegur, Fludir 845 Iceland

Before we head back to Reykjavik we will take a swim in the Secret Lagoon. But don´t let the name fool you. Literally everybody knows about it, in fact it should be called the Official Lagoon, but nevertheless it´s a beautiful natural pool and a perfect way to wind down after a day trip through Iceland´s most famous sites.
