Stop At: Thingvellir National Park, Thingvellir Iceland

Leave your centrally located Reykjavik pick up point in the comfort of a super jeep, a uniquely designed SUV mounted on monster tires that measure around 46 inches (120cm) tall. Relax in the spacious seats as you travel out of the city to your first stop of your Golden Circle tour: Thingvellir National Park.

Holding a special place in the hearts of the Icelandic people for its historical importance and unique geographical features, Thingvellir was the area where Iceland’s first Parliament was formed in the first century. Hop out of your jeep to enjoy a walk around and soak up stunning views over Iceland’s rugged terrain.

Stop At: Geysir, Haukadalur Iceland

Continue by jeep along the twisting mountain tracks to see the bubbling and spouting hot springs of Geysir Hot Spring area. Exploding every few minutes, the geyser is an incredible spectacle to behold; have your camera ready to capture the geothermic action!

Duration: 30 minutes

Stop At: Gullfoss, White River, Blaskogabyggd 801 Iceland

Continue to the waterfall of Gulfoss with its double cascades, and feel the spray of glacial water on your face as you walk around the falls.

Stop for lunch in Gullfoss cafe, perhaps trying the traditional Icelandic lamb stew (own expense), and then enjoy your tour’s exhilarating highlight: a snowmobiling experience on Langjokull, Iceland’s second largest glacier.

Stop At: Langjokull Glacier, Iceland

After a comprehensive safety briefing, hop aboard your snowmobile (2 per vehicle) and follow your guide on a route around the dramatic, ice-clad landscape.

Return to your jeep after snowmobiling, and travel back through the countryside toward Reykjavik. Your day trip then finishes with a drop-off back to Reykjavik.

Please note: The order of this day trip may be altered to ensure that the snowmobiling takes place during the best light conditions.

Children aged 8-17 are only permitted as passengers on the snowmobiles
During winter, the snowmobiling will take place earlier in the tour due to daylight restrictions
A valid drivers license is required to drive the snowmobile
Remember to bring: Warm outdoor clothing, thermal underwear, waterproof jacket and pants, head wear and winter/snow gloves. Good hiking shoes are highly recommended. We recommend that you bring a packed lunch along as well.
The price of the tour is for one person when sharing a two-person snowmobile. For solo or odd number of bookings you must book a solo snowmobile for 6.000 ISK extra, please contact the operator for further information.

Incredible tour. Get picked up from your hotel in a super jeep and our guide - Mardis, was great and really made the tour what it was. The Golden Circle is simply breathtaking and the snowmobile ride is one of the best things I have ever done. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Amazing trip to see the Golden Circle followed by snow mobile on the glacier. The driver and tour guide, plus the snow mobile tour guides were both great, really knowledgeable and made the trip fun for the whole group. The scenery in Iceland is spectacular but the snow mobile was really the highlight, one of the most fun things my partner and i have ever done. would highly recommend the trip to anyone considering it.
