Guided Glacier Lagoon Tour

About this activity
The great thing about this summer tour is that you will see everything that is on the South Coast tour but then go much further. Enjoy pickup from the greater Reykjavík area and from towns on the way like Hveragerdi, Selfoss, Hella, or Hvolsvollur, and head out to see Seljalandsfoss waterfall with a short stop in Hvolsvöllur.
• Seljalandsfoss is very special because you can walk behind it (raincoats recommended).
• After that, see another waterfall: Skógafoss. It's a magnificent waterfall, and you can walk up a path to see it from above.
• Drive to the black sand beach, Reynisfjara, where you can see the Reynisdrangar rock formations after you see Dyrhólaey.
• Stop in Vík for lunch.
• After lunch, you will go to Skaftafell with a quick stop first at Kirkjubæjarklaustur.
• Then, finally go to see the magnificent Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon.
• Included in the trip is a boat ride on the amphibian boat, suitable for all ages. The boat ride is only included during the summer, from November through February you will head straight to the Glacier lagoon.
You´ll have plenty of time to explore the area and after that head back to Reykjavík with short stops along the way. In the winter time, you'll hunt the northern lights! On the drive home, you´ll be glad that our buses have free WiFi so you can post pictures and videos from the tour. Of course, this is a guided tour so you´ll have the luxury of a knowledgeable guide that will tell you everything about the sites and interesting things along the way.
Please note that the boat tour only operates during summer until the end of October so the total tour price is lower in the winter and boat ride not included. But what you gain by going in the winter is a look at the ice chunks on Diamond beach near the lagoon. They're not visible in the summer.

Five stars. Great guide.
I am late in reviewing this one, we were there over a year ago. But it was a fabuous tour. Our guide was wonderful.
This tour was amazing. The Glacier Lagoon was our favorite place we visited while in Iceland. It was a long tour but the day was planned out well. We saw a lot of the south coast on the way. Our guide was great! He knew a ton of info and we learned a lot. I would highly recommend this tour.
This tour was amazing and is a great option for bring able to see a lot of Icelands Southcoast. If you are staying in downtown Reykjavik it's worth the money as the driving yourself could be tricky as the roads and weather are quite unique is Iceland! Worth the money!
