Great guide and breathtaking sights. Beyond my wildest imagination of what we would see.
The guide Raki? was great!!! Dont let my avg rating take away from his efforts. He was informative, funny and really seemed to love what he does. The rating is based on Crystal Cave. Having done a similar tour on a different glacier 2 years back, Crystal Cave itself was the let down. To begin...Its just a really small cave. One narrow tiny tube that terminates in a puddle. the last Iceland ice cave I visited was tall and filled with the bluest ceilings and walls I could imagine. Pillars of clear blue ice. Crystal Cave....blue ceiling for half the cave. Add in that way too many companies have crammed way too many people into this small space and it was far less enjoyable than I had hoped. Maybe, if this were the only experience I had I would be more impressed. But, knowing what I know....the cave was a disappointment. Kudos to the company and Raki for making it enjoyable....without that, I would consider it a total waste.
Excellent tour - very exiting and a must do during your visit in Iceland. Being taken inside a real ice cave from the biggest Iceberg in Europe is an amazing experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the information provided during the tour helped to appreciate it even more. I would do it again without a doubt.
Absolutely great!!! We met the tour guide at the glacier lagoon and from there about 20 minutes took their big 4x4 vehicle near the glacier. The guide gave us our helmets and shoe spikes and then we started the 30 minute hike up the glacier towards the ice cave. Once inside the cave they gave us plenty of time to look around and take pictures before coming back down. Overall the tour took between 2-2.5 hours. It is amazing and a must do if you are in Iceland. The guide was great, very knowledgeable and funny. The ice cave is awesome, it is surreal and the pictures look amazing. Very happy with the company and the tour.
