Snaefellsnes Photography Private Day Tour

We start the photography tour at the distinctive black church, Búðakirkja. Its simplistic design fits well in the open space of nature around it, yet also provides an interesting contrast against lush green moss in the summer months and white snow deep in the winter months.

Moving along the south coast of the peninsula, we will make a stop at Arnarstapi, it is a humble fishing village. The abrupt drop on the cliff with wave crushing against the basalt columns make it an interesting subject for photography.

We then move on to the western coast of the peninsula where we find Djupalon. It is a black pebble bay with a series of oddly shaped rocks protruding from the ocean.

Our last stop of the day is Kirkjufell which is a beautiful symmetrical mountain that is also known as the Church Mountain. This free-standing 463m mountain is very popular among photographers not only because of its shape but also the opportunity to play with reflections and possibility to compose your frame with the waterfall nearby as well.
