About this activity

We pick you up at your accommodation in Reykjavík, we then head to Thingvellir National Park where Silfra is located. After your snorkel we drive to Gullfoss and Geysir where your guide will show you around the area, The tour is 8-10 hours from the time of pick up in Reykjavík in to the time of drop off.

Please note: During summer (April - August) the tour will begin with the Golden Circle and end with Snorkeling at Silfra

Upon arrival at Silfra, your guide will give you your dry suit and snorkeling equipment, and explain how to use this equipment. The guide will also give you advise on how to stay warm and comfortable during your 30 to 40 minutes snorkeling tour of the Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and Silfra Lagoon sites. All participants need to have read and signed the Snorkeling Medical Statement (view here:https://www.dive.is/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Silfra-Snorkeling-Medical-Statement-and-Physicians-Approval-Form.pdf) and sign our liability release form at the start of the tour (view here: https://www.dive.is/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/2017_SNORKELING_liability.pdf)

After the tour you will be offered a hot chocolate and cookies to warm up.

Your guide will then drop you off at your accommodation in Reykjavík.

Participants must be at least 14 years of age
We recommend wearing long thermal underwear and thick wool socks as a base layer under the dry suit
Minimum height is 4ft 11in (150cm). Minimum weight is 100lbs (45kg).
Maximum height and weight is 6ft7in (200cm) and 264lbs (120kg).
Participants must be comfortable in water and able to swim, physically fit and healthy
Please note that that dry suits can sometimes feel quite tight and constricting
All participants must be able to communicate in English.
Not suitable for pregnant women
Dry suits are worn over your own clothing
Recommended to bring a change of clothes and warm undergarments

The tour guide was so nice-he was genuinely having a good time, very knowledgable and fun. We even made an extra stop at an ice-cream making farm on the way. The weather was very cold, but it was still gorgeous, and enjoyable. The snorkelling was also magnificent, and they were so helpful and reassuring. I would give this a 6 star if I could.
