South Coast Volcano and Glacier Private Super Jeep Tour from Reykjavik

About this activity
Dressed in warm clothing, get picked up from your centrally located Reykjavík accommodation at 8:30am, ready for an 8-hour adventure.
Head east out of the city to get some off-roading action in Thorsmork Valley, a beautiful woodland surrounded by rugged mountains and glacial rivers, which is only accessible year-round on 4×4, and scheduled buses during the summer months. Buckle up and enjoy the thrill of splashing through glacial rivers. The super jeep then takes you to Gigjökull glacier, a calf glacier of the notorious Eyjafjallajökull volcano which erupted in 2010.
Hop back onto Highway 1 and head for the spectacular waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. Seljalandsfoss is just over 196 feet (60 meters) tall and surrounded by beautiful cliffs and slopes. There is a footpath behind the waterfall where, depending on road conditions, you can walk for a view from behind the plunging water. Skogafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in Iceland, which also measures around 196 feet (60 meters) and boasts a width of 82 feet (25 meters). On sunny days it is not unusual to to see a double rainbow through the spray.
Continue east along the south coast to your last stop, Reynisfjara where you find not only a black beach, but also basalt rock columns, caves, and sea stack.
Finally, with a camera and head full of memories, get dropped off back at your Reykjavík accommodations around eight hours after you set out.
