South Iceland Tour from Reykjavik with Zipline Adventure
1 day
About this activity
We will start our tour by departing from Reykjavik at 9 AM and drive along the South Coast of Iceland. Our outing begins with a stop at one of Iceland's biggest waterfalls, Skógafoss. If you're up for the challenge, you can climb all 527 steps to the observation deck, where you'll get the unusual perspective of looking down on the waterfall flowing off the steep cliffs. If you're lucky, you'll have a sunny day and big rainbows through the waterfall mist.
From Skógafoss we continue towards the village of Vík, to try something unlike anything else you've done.
Ziplining is a great way to see the country, whether you're an adrenaline-junkie or just looking for something different. It's a thrilling experience, but it's also completely safe. Along with the two zipline segments, we take a low-impact hike through a river canyon with stunning panoramic views. The first segment is the longer of the two at 235 metres, while the second segment covers 135 metres. The zipline ride offers an eye-popping view of Grafargil canyon below your feet.
On the way back we will stop at Seljalandsfoss, one of the South Coast's most prominent waterfalls. Walking behind the waterfall and feeling the mist from the cascading water on your skin is a perfect ending to this South Coast adventure, before returning to Reykjavik in the evening.
