Itinerary

Be picked up from your Reykjavík accommodation (if option selected) in morning or afternoon, or meet at Thingvellir National Park, about 50 km from Reykjavik. Once you have met your PADI divemaster certified guide, he or she will be going through the procedure and safety measures of your tour. After, you will put on your gear and head to an exotic underwater canyon/fissure, Silfra, created as the continental plates drift apart at a rate of about 2 cm per year. Silfra is a freshwater fissure where you can see at least 100 meters ahead of you. The water here is so clear and pristine it feels like flying. The approximate time in the water is around 40 minutes. By snorkeling in wetsuit you will be more flexible to dive under and free-dive. Therefore you should bring your bathing suit to wear underneath the wetsuit. End the snorkeling tour by warming up with some hot chocolate before you head back.

Duration 2 - 3 hours without pick up / 4 - 4,5 hours with transport from Reykjavik
NOT wear glasses, so if you have a prescription mask, please bring it with you. If not, we advise you to get contact lenses before you join us for snorkeling.
Its good to wear a swimsuit underneath the wetsuit and bring a towel
All participants must be able to communicate in English
Recommended to bring a change of clothes and woolen socks
