Bumpy Rhodes Safari is a great opportunity for one of a kind experience – mix of unspoilt nature, local culture, and fun. Drive through beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, and small Greek villages. Learn about mountain herbs, and taste delicious local food. Breathe the fresh air of green Profitis Ilias, and see the highest mountain of Rhodes, Attaviros (1215 m). Have fun on dusty off-road tracks and when crossing empty riverbeds. After the bumpy ride cool down in the crystal clear water of the East Coast. The safari team will take you from the busy resorts into the heart of the island!
A day on safari is divided into driving parts and stops at various locations
Arrivals Route:
09.45 – The first off-road driving to the information point.
10.00 – Information stop. Driving instructions
10.15 – Great off-road tracks with coastal views (Turkey and Symi on the West), deep valleys, herbs and goats
on the way.
11.15 – Time for refreshment. Coffee stop at a local restaurant in Dimilia.
11.45 – Driving in the area of green Profitis Illias, enjoying view to the East Coast with Gadoura Lake, 4×4
descent in the mountains, and panorama of Ataviros.
13.00 – Lunch. Picnic by the shadowed church of Agios Georgos nearby Apollona (food provided by a local
family-run restaurant from Apollona).
13.45 – Passing through traditional Greek villages: Apollona, Platania, Eleousa, Archipoli.
14.10 – Afternoon special: spectacular mountain plateau, olive fields, and river crossing.
15.00 – Swimming and strolling on the beach.
16.00 – Departure from the beach.
