Stop At: Pefkos Eye, Πεύκοι 851 07, Greece

The Bumpy Rhodes Safari in the South shows a great diversity in nature, local culture and driving experience. It took several years to develop the route here and we as guides are very pleased with the result.

Drive through small Greek villages, follow riverbeds. Get into the mountains and the forest.

Look into the valleys, smell the mountain herbs, eat some local food and swim at a secluded beach.

Our tour starts at the moment we pick you up from the Hotel, following the East Coast, passing Lindos and Pefkos towards Kiotari. All complete, we pass through the small Village of Asklipion, with its Castle. Following the river we reach the village of Profilia, where we stop at a pleasant tavern.

Continuing towards the highest mountain Attaviros we drive mountain roads with stunning views. Crossing the wine region we come to the second highest mountain Akramitis where we stop for Lunch.

The afternoon is a pleasant shadowed drive through the forest, views on the West Coast with plenty of small Islands, the panorama of Monolithos and swimming at a secluded beach. On the way instructions from the guide.

Arrivals Route:

10.00 Passing through the small village of Asklipion, along the riverbed towards Profilia village.

11.00 Refreshments at pretty tavern in Profilia village.

11.30 Mountain road with good views, herbs and goats, olives and forest.From St. Isidoros through wine country to the Akramitis.

12.30 Lunch.

13.15 Towards the viewpoint of Monolithos, on the way forest roads and spectacular sea views, after wards descent to our secluded beach.

14.30 Swimming or strolling the beach.

15.15 Departure from the beach. Around four we arrive at the first hotels.

Pass By: Castle of Asklipio, Griechenland, South Rhodes 851 09, Greece

Asklipion is situated, between Gennadi and Lardos. It was named after the god of medicine. There is a fabulous eleventh. century Byzantine church and an interesting museum. The church was built in 1060. It started as a cross, but extended later to accommodate a larger congregation. In the museum, next to the church, are old bibles, religious artifacts, agriculture tools, old olive press.
