This is a typical itinerary for this product

Stop At: Old Town of Rhodes, Rhodes Town 851 00 Greece

We enter the fortified town and begin to explore firstly the residential section . An impressive ride through narrow alleys among houses ,stylish hotels , beneath arches and embellished balconies.

Then we continue on the renowned Street of the Knights and pull over at its top. Here we take our first pictures of the Grand Masters Palace and nearby monuments. Subsequently we exit the Medieval town passing over the spectacular moat and through D ‘ Amboise gateway .

Next we visit Mandraki, the principal harbor of Rhodes, where historians claim that 2nd century b.c. Colossus was erected.

It was a gigantic statue dedicated to Helios, the god of light, and straddled the entrance of the port.

It is considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world . Nowadays two columns with a bronze deer atop decorate this area.

The architecture dominating the region is the Italian fascistic style, remnants of their occupation on the islands. The impressive temple of San Giovanni, today the orthodox church of Annunciation,

in addition with the theatre, the city hall and other administrative buildings complete the portrait of the historical center of the modern town.

The tour continues driving by the aquarium ,the tip of Rhodes. We then turn on the west coast, the windy side, feeling at once a cool and refreshing breeze.

A unique combination of turquoise and blue colors blending in the Aegean sea spreads in front of us. Therefore we will definitely stop to capture this spectacle meanwhile you can also sense the water.

After a short drive we stop at Monte Smith, the highest point of Rhodes city, where an astonishing view awaits you. Up on the same hill the Acropolis of Rhodes is also situated. So following a downward path you can admire the temple of Apollo, the Ancient Stadium and the Amphitheatre.

Stop At: Lindos Beach, Lindos 851 07 Greece

As we arrive at Lindos a unique breathtaking panorama greets us. After catching glimpses from the vantage points overlooking the landmark village, we drive down at St. Paul’s bay. It is another amazing cove where scenes of the famous movie” The guns of Navarone ” were filmed.

In Lindos you have spare time for at least an hour to .stroll in the cobbled streets of the traditional village. However you may choose to walk up to the top of the cliff and visit the Acropolis of Lindos for a closer look of the sanctuary of Athena, the Doric Stoa and Propylaean ruins. Glorious traces of the golden era of Lindos that dates back in 6th century B.C.

Next we highly recommend a delicious lunch at a restaurant right at the edge of the sea. The place is a ‘winner’ with very friendly service , a unique view and above all some excellent local specialties.

Upon our return in Rhodes city we will drop you at the pier outside your ship.
