Day 1: Cabo Frio and Arraial

The stairway that gives access to the Pratal do Pontal do Atalaia seems to lead to paradise. From the top of the hill, what is seen is a paradisiacal scenery. Hard not to be mesmerized by the view at the top of the stairs, from where you can see the white sand, the colorful sea and the still-preserved green in the nearby Island of the Farol. The descent is steep and there are many steps. Nothing that a pause for the photos does not help.

The human occupation of the lands where the town of Cabo Frio was to be established began about six thousand years ago when a small nomadic flock of families arrived in canoes by the sea and camped on the Morro dos Índios until then small rocky island in the present bar of the Lagoa de Araruama and the extreme coastal point of the restinga margin of the Itajuru Channel.

Day 2: Arraial

Stop At: Praia da Ilha do Farol, Ilha do, Arraial do Cabo - RJ, 28930-000, Brazil
Great star of Arraial do Cabo, Praia do Farol is one of the most beautiful in the entire region of Lagos and, without exaggeration, all over Brazil. It gained fame especially for being classified by INPE (National Institute of Space Research) as one of the most perfect beaches of the country, following criteria of water purity, sand quality and landscape.

Stop At: Crevice of Our Lady of Assumption, Praia dos Anjos, Arraial do Cabo, State of Rio de Janeiro 28930-000 Brazil
Arraial do Cabo keeps an image of Our Lady in the middle of the sea. According to the residents, the saint was found by a fisherman in the crevice of a cave.
