Full-Day Burle Marx Gardens and Rio de Janeiro West Beaches
Meet at the centrally located meeting point to discuss the details of this experience.
Then hop in the van and head west, passing Barra da Tijuca, Recreio, and some of Rio's most beautiful beaches.
You will ultimately land in Barra de Guaratiba (up to a 1.5-hour drive) at the Sitio Roberto Burle Marx Museum. There, you will meander through the most famous Brazilian landscape architect's personal gardens and residence. He is responsible for influential urban projects all over Rio de Janeiro and Brazil, including the Copacabana Promenade, Flamengo Park, and the biggest outdoor museum in the world, Ibitipoca. Enjoy the colors, Brazil's vibrant flora, the architecture, the art, the music, and much more for something truly special.
The professionally guided tour takes around 2 to 3-hours. Then, the small group will go to one of Rio de Janeiro's most special beaches and hang out in the sun. After soaking up some rays and catching some waves, you will have time to enjoy lunch at Mirante da Prainha, a fabulous beachfront restaurant. You couldn't ask for a nicer day exploring this hidden gem of Rio de Janeiro.
