About this activity

Get some comfortable walking shoes ready and come and immerse yourself in the history of Rio and Brazil. Stops along the route are full of intrigue, beauty, and evoke all kinds of emotions. We begin at Cinelândia in front of the Municipal Theatre before going on to the Metropolitan Cathedral, Praça Tiradentes, the Real Gabinete Portugues Library and Cultural Centre (entering when open), the Confeitaria Colombo (which we pop into for a coffee and and legendary snack when open), Largo da Carioca, Praça XV, Rio’s Old Town and ending at the CCBB Cultural Centre. This walking tour, with the various stops taken into account, will last about 3 hours, taking in streets and locations that exude the essence of Brazilian culture.
Entry to: Metropolitan Cathedral, Real Gabinete Portuguese Library (when open), Confeitaria Colombo (when open).
