If you are an explorer-type person who likes to discover new places without being tied to a car all the time, this is the ideal experience for you. The host will be your very own local friend, who will help you build the perfect itinerary for your tastes and style of travelling. The way it works is as follows.

Firstly, the host will meet you at an agreed location of your choice. This is when the beginning of your experience time will start, and when the host’s working hours will begin to be counted from. Then, you can start exploring the city with your host in the way that best suits you. You can walk around, get the bus, take the metro, hire an Uber car or taxi, among other options.

Your local friend will be at your disposition to get your day started. Make sure you tell them what you want to get out of your trip. Even if they don’t know the exact place that you’re looking for, they won’t hesitate to get in touch with the Find Your Rio team and find out exactly what it is you need. Transport costs (including the host’s) are to be paid for by the visitor, as only the host’s hours are included in the price. In the event that the experience lasts longer than the package bought via the website, the visitor can simply pay the extra cost to the host at the end.

Areas covered by this experience are Zona Sul and Centro. For any other areas such as Barra da Tijuca and Niteroi, contact us to find out supplementary costs. Bear in mind that your host won’t take you to place the Find Your Rio team considers unsafe, or where access for public transport is impossible.
