Rocinha Favela and Tijuca Rainforest Tour by Jeep

Your tour starts with hotel pickup in the morning for the drive to Rocinha, the largest favela in Brazil. See how locals live inside the favela, which welcomes visitors, as you take a guided walking tour to meet residents and learn a bit about the challenges these communities face.

Then continue by Jeep to the Tijuca Rainforest, a large urban oasis where you'll take a 20- to 30-minute hike along a trail that leads you under the rainforest canopy. Watch for wildlife as you enjoy the tranquil setting, and feel the spray of Cachoeira dos Macacos (Waterfall of the Monkeys) and Taunay Waterfall. From the pavilion on top of Tijuca National Park, Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), which was built in the early 1900s, you can enjoy a view of the city.
