Itinerary
Tandem Hang Gliding
You’ll take off from a hill-top (1700 FEET / 520 METERS) in Floresta da Tijuca national park, high above Rio. You’ll fly gently down over forests, mansions and the beach and land on a sandy beach between Ipanema and Barra da Tijuca with a certified instructors by CBVL (Brazilian Confederation of Hang Gliding).
Flight Stages
The take of launch is made from Pedra Bonita’s Ramp, with previous training under the guidance of the instructor for good platform ramp output and a perfect Tandem Flight. Once the Tandem Flight process starts, it last between 6 and 9 minutes, depending on the wind conditions. The landing is done on the sands of Pepino Beach, São Conrado – RJ.

This experience was excellent from start to finish. The HiltonFlyRio staff were very friendly and sorted out all the logistics of my arrival very well. Transport is provided up to the launching pad and you land on the beach right next to where you began. The whole experience was finished in about an hour, but the process was very efficient. The flight itself was incredible, and my flight instructor made me feel very comfortable and safe. If you opt for the photo and video package you can receive these on a disc or they can be transferred directly to your phone. Just make sure you have enough space on your phone because my photos and videos amounted to about 7GB. I am really happy to have chosen HiltonFlyRio, I had an amazing time and would definitely recommend it as it slightly cheaper than some other options.
