Day 1: Day 01: Rishikesh – Harshil (250 Km / 7 hr)

Stop At: Gangotri Temple, Gangotri Village, Gangotri India
n the morning, after breakfast in the hotel, drive in private car for the Harshil Town which is about 30 km before form Gangotri & 250 km from Rishikesh, after arrival check in Hotel, later in the evening explore Harshil Village, dinner & Overnight.

Harshil is very famous for natural & scenic beauty & apple orchard. In Harshil there is a village, known as Bagori, where Himalayan ethnic people, locally called Bhutiya are living in the village, and there is a wooden Buddhist temple, architecturally very rich, many foreign tourists travel to this village only to see this Himalayan Buddha Temple. Apart from the Buddhist Temple, at a few distances there is the winter seat of mother Ganges, is known as Mukhba & Cholmi, where there are two important temples of Shiva, Kalp Kedar & Panchmukhi Mahadev Temple.

Day 2: Day 02: Harshi - Gangotri (3048 Mts/10000 Ft)- Bhojwassa (3792 Mts/12440 Ft) 13 Kms Trek/5-6 Hrs)

Stop At: Bhojwasa Way, Taknaur Renge, Uttarakhand 249135, India
Early morning breakfast at Hotel, drive to Gangotri (30km / 1 hr), firstly pay homage to Gangotri Temple and with trekking guide you start trekking to Bhojwassa via Chirbasa (3600mt). From Gangotri, You trek entire day along the gurgling Bhagirathi River up to Chirwassa ( Chirbasa). Beyond Chirbasa the trek route turns into really remote and without vegetation. Geographically it considered to be as Arctic Tundra by some trekkers. You continue trekking up to Bhojwassa through thick forest. After arrival at Bhojwassa, check in the GMVN guest house. Dinner & lights off.

Gangotri is the source of Ganga River is located in Uttarakhand state. It is a part of Chardham Yatra (Hindu Pilgrimage). According to Hindu mythology, Vishnu Temple and Brahmakund are here. The source of the Ganges River is the Gangotri glacier (second largest glacier of Asia) is estimated to be at an altitude of 4,225 meters. The Chardham pilgrimage takes place between April and November months

Day 3: Day 3 - Bhojwassa - Gomukh (3890 mts/12760 ft) - Tapovan (4463 mts / 14640 ft)

Stop At: Gangotri - Gaumukh Pedestrian Way, Kedarnath, Uttarakhand 249135, India
After breakfast at Bhojwassa, trek sets out to Gomukh (3890mt), the origin of the mother Ganges River, discover the area of Gomukh and resume trek up to Tapovan, one of the highest & beautiful alpine meadows of Himalaya.

The trek from Gomukh to Tapovan is difficult because of steep climbing but as you go higher the view gets clearer. Dinner and lights off enjoy the camping stay at Tapovan.

Day 4: Day 4 - Tapovan - Bhojwassa (4340 mts/14235 feet /Trek 4-5 hrs)

Stop At: Gangotri - Gaumukh Pedestrian Way, Kedarnath, Uttarakhand 249135, India
Today, after breakfast, you trek Bhojwassa back, where you get free time to explore yourself the scenic surroundings of Himalaya and rolling through the scenic pathways. After dinner, lights off & retire for the rest of night in camp or GMVN guest house.

Day 5: Day 5 - Bhojwassa - Gangotri - Harshil (3048 m/10000 ft) Trek (6 km / 4-5 hrs).

Stop At: Gangotri Temple, Gangotri Village, Gangotri India
In the morning, breakfast, you start trekking to Gangotri back and you need to climb down 6 km. So, it will take about to 4 hours, after reaching Gangotri, transfer to Hotel in private transport ( 30 km), after arrival, have dinner and retire for the rest of night in the Hotel, Harshil.

Day 6: Day 6 – Harshil – Rishikesh (250 km/ 7 hr)

Breakfast at Hotel and proceed for the Rishikesh in private transport through Himalayan curvy roads to conclude the six days long journey of Gomukh Trek.
