Rishikesh Himalaya Tour Explore the Shiva Temple

Night 1: 
Get picked up from Rishikesh/Dehradun depending on your arrival and head to RD Homestay. Sip masala chai while you learn about the Himalayan Volunteering Organization and the adventure you’re soon to embark on! At 6 PM, witness Ganga Arti, a special praying ceremony at the Ganga River. Enjoy a delicious dinner followed by tea at 7:30 PM.
Day 1: 
Wake up for breakfast and tea at 8 AM. At 11 AM, catch a bus from Dehradun to Barkot. Take in magnificent views of the mountains and stop for lunch in Damta at 2 PM. Arrive in Barkot at 5 PM and witness the stunning backdrop of the Higher Himalayas. Then, check in to your hotel or homestay before tea at 6 PM and dinner at 7 PM.
Day 2: 
Taste local pancakes known as 'lugde' along with honey and tea for breakfast at 8 AM. At 9 AM, travel to 'Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidhyalaya' to visit a girls’ after school residential center. Get to know the center, run by the Indian government, which is dedicated to empowering and uplifting girls through education. Later, watch and help prepare quick, easy, and delicious meals as they’re made. Enjoy an intercultural lunch at the center with staff members at 1 PM. Tea and snacks will be ready at 6:10 PM before dinner at 7 PM.
Day 3: 
After tea and breakfast at 8 AM, travel to Yamunotri by private cab. You’ll reach Kharsali Village at 10 AM, right on time for a cup of tea before beginning the clearly marked 5-km trek to Yamunotri temple! The scenic trekking route offers awe-inspiring views of the Higher Himalayas. Reach Yamunotri temple at 12:30 PM and enjoy a packed lunch near the temple. Take a dip in the hot springs before returning back to Kharsali village at 4:30 PM. Have tea and return to your hotel/homestay before dinner at 7 PM.
Day 4: 
Start your day with tea and breakfast at 8 AM. At 10 AM, travel to Lakhamandal, an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which dates back to the 12th century! Visit the museum and caves at Lakhamandal before lunch at 1 PM. Then, return to Rishikesh via the famous hill station Musoorie. Enjoy masala chai at Musoorie before continuing to Rishikesh.
