Few sights are as beautiful as the Roman skyline at the first light of dawn or the last rays of twilights. The rosy cupolas, bell towers and terra-cotta roofs seem specially made for the sunrise and sunset, when Rome's golden sun extend over the city – embracing it with a serenity and warmth that is nothing short of magical. This extra-small group tour of 6 people or less will chauffeur you around Rome’s most famous sights in a luxury van at your selected departure: Sunrise or Sunset. Hotel pick-up is included for guests staying within the Aurelian walls.
Sunrise option: Thanks to a super-early start time, you’ll be able to stand in front of the Trevi Fountain is all of its splendor without fighting for a view. Be in sleepy Piazza Navona as the cafés begin to open up shop, and admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers. The peace and quiet of the early morning provide the perfect ambience to truly appreciate Rome’s unique beauty. The soft light and absence of crowds ensure ideal photography conditions. Stops also include the Pantheon, St. Peter’s Square, Circus Maximus, the Spanish Steps, the Colosseum and even a secret spot with the best view over the city for enjoying the sunrise. Along the way there will be plenty of time to stop for a typical Roman breakfast at any of the historic center’s well-known cafés (own expense).
Sunset option: Enjoy the same magical colors but a completely different atmosphere when you choose the sunset option. Rome comes alive in the evening, and the buzz of the city at twilight is something to be experienced. See all of the same sights as the sunrise option, and watch the sun set over the city from our specially selected viewpoint. Along the way enjoy a break where you can stop for a typical Rome aperitivo drink in the heart of the historic center (own expense).

The tour was very intimate with not many others participating. Our tour guide Eddie was beyond outstanding. If 6:00 am sounds early, it's not. I felt that Rome was my own oasis, The sunrise above Roma was breathtaking. A little tidbit of information - when the sun rises above Rome everything is glistering in Gold. One of my favorite and most mentionable tours I did - You saw Rome not only driving by as we stopped at numerous places.

Great tour, got to see many monuments before the crowds had gathered and whilst it was still cool. Our guide and driver met us outside our hotel and quickly took us around the city providing us with a commentary on the history of Rome but also little tips on getting the most out of our trip. We stopped off for coffee and pastries at a little cafe which was delicious! Overall this was a great way to begin our holiday!
