We thought that this excursion was great. Our tour guide was knowledgeable. Learned a lot about how it was built, how the gladiators and animals came into the theatre through trap doors. It is amazing how they constructed this theatre so long ago and how big it is. There technology was hard to believe for the tools and equipment they had. The only thing that would have made it better was going on a night where the moon was out.

Really enjoyed the experience...for me a definite do.....I enjoyed it much better than day time visit...best advice , book early with colosseum website,

Not clear in the information that the tour is made up of 1 hr walk around Rome before entering Colosseum. Didn't enter until 10:30pm. Once inside, excellent but the first section might be best avoided.
