Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy
The Colosseum has been a symbol of Rome since 80 AD, and today it is a superior monument in Italy. Some 50,000 spectators once gathered in the staggered seats of the amphitheater to see gladiatorial games, and although parts of its original marble facade were stolen over the years to build the Basilica of St. Peter, the Colosseum remains remarkably intact 2,000 years later.
Duration: 1 hour
Stop At: Roman Forum, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy
A sprawling mass of ruins, the Roman Forum (Fori Imperiali) was once the center of ancient Rome, with temples, courts, markets, and government buildings in full swing until the 4th century AD. While all that remains today is an array of ancient columns and arches, the forum is one of the most important archaeological sites in Italy, and excavations occur to this day. Aside from a lesson in Roman history, visitors can get a great view of the Eternal City from the overlooking Palatine and Capitoline hills.

The guide tour as for the coloseo or the Roman Forum and Palatino were very pleasant to listen. Important that the groups were able to make the tour cinfortable even with so many people all around. Very professional. Great job guys. Thanks
A great tour with a very knowledgeable guide. This was my first time to Rome and it was amazing. The guide spoke fluent English and shared his knowledge and appreciation of Roman history. My tour was on 30/05/2018 and we had a manageable size group. Everything in Rome was busy and crowded that day, but we managed and it was a tremendous experience.
I recently attended this guided tour of the Colosseum/Roman Forum/Palatine Hill and would strongly advise against booking this tour. I booked the above tour with Viator and attended with a guest on 20/05/2018 and, unfortunately, am most displeased at the service provided and I have requested a full refund for the reasons stated below. We attended for this tour promptly and were met by a series of disorganised tour operators. There were approximately 14 people in our group. We were asked to pay 14 euros to cover our admission ticket even though the admission cost was 12 euros - this was paid by myself and, other than admission to the colosseum/roman forum/palatine hill, this tour provided nothing of what it said it would. We entered into the skip the line queue and, when we got to the ticket gate, we were told that our tickets were not valid for 'skip the line' and we had to join the regular queue, which resulted in a 55 minute wait. Our guide appeared to be uncertain about what was happening throughout the entirety of the tour and provided us with no answers when we asked how we could request a refund. On entering the colosseum, we were left with approximately ten minutes to spend there, as we were running so late due to having to join the regular queue. Our guide was unhappy when we asked to stay there longer and appeared relatively reluctant to provide more than basic general information and did not attempt to answer any of our questions. Throughout the rest of the tour, there was very limited information provided to us and the quality of the tour guide was questionable at the best of times. I do not think her English was adequate to be performing professional guided tours for English speakers. As set out in the 'inclusions' section of the booking information, it states that we would be provided with headsets in groups of greater than ten people. We were not provided with these. The colosseum is stunning and well worth a visit - the City Wonders tour guides looked to be doing an excellent job, I would highly recommend booking with them instead.
