Vatican Museums and Upper Galleries, including the one of the Maps, Tapestries and Candelabra, here are statue of different periods and painted rooms.

Stop At: Stanze di Raffaello, Viale Vaticano, Vatican City Italy

After having visited the Upper Galleries you will approach Raphael Rooms. It was Pope Julius II's private apartment and here you can admire the Raphael's “School of Athens”, “Parnassus” and “The Dispute over the Sacrament”.

Stop At: Vatican Museums, Viale Vaticano, 00120 Vatican City Italy

After visiting the Raphael Rooms, you will admire the Borgia Rooms, painted by Pinturicchio and commissioned by Pope Alexander VI Borgia. Here you can also admire the contemporary and modern art collection.

Stop At: Sistine Chapel, Citta del Vaticano 1, 00120 Vatican City Italy

The Sistine Chapel will leave you breathless for its grandeur and beauty. Michelangelo painted all the frescos alone using 4 years to paint the ceiling. Here is represented "The Creation of the World" with stories from the Genesis book. About thirty years later the artist painted "The Last Judgement" on the wall behind the altar.

Stop At: St. Peter's Basilica, Piazza di San Pietro, 00120 Vatican City Italy

The Basilica was built from 1506 to replace the Medieval Basilica and it took 120 years to be finished. Many important artists, such as Raphael and Michelangelo worked on this project. The inside decoration of the Basilica is very Baroque thanks to Gian Lorenzo Bernini, who projected the “Altar of the Chair of St. Peter” and the Baldachin. The beautiful chapel inside the Basilica host the amazing Michelangelo’s “Pietà”, where this painful moment with the body of Jesus laying on the laps of his mother after the deposition from the Cross is depicted.

Stop At: Palatine Hill, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy

Once you will have finished your visit inside the Vatican, you will approach Palatine Hill, the hill where Rome has its origins. Now it is a large outdoor museum where you can find emperors Villas and a beautiful panorama of Rome.

Stop At: Roman Forum, Piazza Santa Maria Nova, 53, 00186 Rome Italy

Then, you will climb down to the Roman Forum, which can be considered the meeting point of Ancient Rome. Indeed, it was the political, commercial and social center of the Romans’ life.

Stop At: Colosseum, Piazza del Colosseo, 00184 Rome Italy

The last step of your tour will be in the Colosseum, where you can enter through a regular entrance and go to the first and second rings.
