Taking a spectacular big spiral staircase you will be introduced to the impressive greatness of the Vatican Museum.

Admire the best of the ancient world visiting the Greek and Roman sculpture section. A collection of classical art masterpieces where admire the beauty of several sculpture groups, as for example the statue of Laocoön and His Sons that is one of the most famous ancient sculptures.

Pass by the Chandelier Gallery, named by the several marble chandelier decorating this section.

You will visit the Basilica at your leisure, without the guide. Inside you can admire some Baroque masterpieces and the breathtaking Pietà by Michelangelo. You can also enjoy a moment of reflection in the Vatican caves.

Stop At: Vatican Necropolis, Piazza San Pietro Beneath St. Peter’s Basilica, 00120 Vatican City Italy

After time for lunch continue your afternoon program and around 3 pm you will meet our staff to enter in the Vatican City to explore the Necropolis underground tunnels and galleries called the Scavi. This ninety-minute exclusive guided tour will take you down into the lowest levels of St. Peter's Basilica. This is not the “grotto” area that lies just beneath St. Peter's where the monuments, chapels, and tombs of past Popes and Italian dignitaries lie. The Scavi Tour goes down below the grotto to an area known as the “Necropolis” an ancient pagan and Christian cemetery and burial ground from the 1st century the most sacred site within Vatican City

In that instance we’ll try our best to re-accommodate the tour when the information from the office responsible of the sites visited is given in a timely manner for us to rearrange and inform all clients.
If this is not possible, we will operate the tour and will include other sites to compensate for the site/s being closed. No refund is given on unused tickets due to events that are out of our control.
