About this activity

Looking for an easy, classic tour visiting the highlights of the Vatican Museums? What about Fast Track access to all areas? This is the Vatican tour for you. Choose a tour in English, German, French or Italian for a guide that exclusively speaks your language.

In small groups of 20 people or less, our five-star guides will lead you straight to most important areas of the Vatican Museums. After enjoying Skip the Line access - you'll begin a classic itinerary of the must-see sights. This includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the Vatican Museums at Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your guide will prepare you for your visit to this world wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll enjoy Skip the Line passage to St. Peter's Basilica and a full guided tour inside.

This tour ends at St. Peter's Basilica from where you will be free to explore other areas of Vatican City on your own, or spend more time inside of the Basilica.
*Please note: Tours departing on Wednesdays do not visit the inside of St. Peter's Basilica due to the weekly Papal Audience. It is also possible that due to Papal events, some planned in advance and some at the last minute, that access to St. Peter's Basilica from the Vatican Museums will be closed or that the Basilica will be completely closed off to the public. In these cases, we will do our best to inform guests ahead of time and provide alternatives. This is not always possible, however, and in the case of a last minute interruption, extra time will be spent exploring the Vatican Museums. In such cases, no partial refunds will be provided.

2:15PM SMALL GROUP TOUR - UPGRADE available to our 2:15PM small group departure. Choose this option for a group of 10 people or less with a dedicated guide as well as access to special rooms not available on the group tour.

8:00PM FRIDAY NIGHT TOUR - Available late-spring/summer only. 3 hour tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel starting at 8:00PM. St. Peter's Basilica is not included in this departure.

A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements

The tour was very well organised and the tour guide was excellent. Very easy to follow and the smurf on his flagpole made him easy to spot amongst the big crowds. His knowledge was excellent and skipping the line is so worth it. Only suggestion I would have is to have earphones for both ears as opposed to single ear ones. Overall a brilliant tour and experience.

We had a really nice tour and a wonderful tour guide. Highly recommend this tour. Especially if you don't want to spend an entire day there (which you can easily do!) This tour was very thorough and comprehensive.

This tour and experience was worth every penny. We had a guide Marianna who was amazing. Between the Vatican museum, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's, not to mention everything else in the walls of the Vatican, there is so much to see, but Marianna remained focused and led our group of about 15 through the crowds and was not only informative on the history and facts, but kept the group fully engaged.
