About this activity

Meet your tour leader directly at the port in Anzio just in time to check-in for your 1,5 hour ferry crossing to the island of Ponza! You'll meet the rest of your fellow travelers and will be briefed on what to expect in the day ahead.

After a fast and comfortable ferry crossing, we'll set foot in the stunning port of Ponza. The Port is lined with colorful homes, cafes, restaurants and more to explore. You'll have a very brief amount of free time to get oriented before we depart on our circumnavigation of this special island.

Our boat trip for the day, shared with vacationing Italians and Ponzans alike -- will be an exciting trip through history, unique geological formations and little adventures to be had. Most of the day is spent in the water, swimming & snorkeling (optional - bring your own gear!) through grottoes, observing Ponza's rich marine life or just enjoying the marine breeze. Your captain, a native Ponzan will be sharing history, tales and legends about the Island throughout the trip - and your English speaking tour leader will be on hand to translate into English.

Lunch is a simple picnic style pasta lunch and is prepared freshly on board by the captain and his first mate. Lunch is served with bottled water, table wine and even espresso coffee -- all directly on board in a spectacular setting.

The boat excursion lasts 5 hours and concluded in the port, where you will have circa 1 hour of free time to explore, shop or just enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo along with your group.

Departure time from the island is circa 5:30PM. The ferry ride back is also 1,5 hours.

To fully enjoy this tour, we recommend you are comfortable with boat transportation and are able to swim.

Due to the unique nature of this tour, last minute cancellations due to traffic, strikes, minimum numbers and weather are a possibility. Call +39 334 960 9137 the day before your visit to check on the status of your trip. If you are unable to call, and you do not hear from us, consider your trip confirmed.
For all tours cancelled due to traffic, strikes or weather an alternative will be offered or a free change of date. Where neither are possible, a full refund will be offered.
