With the help of our greeter in Termini Station, board your high speed train to reach Venice Santa Lucia (ap-prox: 3.5 hours). This excursion will lead you into the heart of Venice and its enchanting Lagoon. First, meet your guide at meeting point and board the Vaporetto, the typical public transportation boat, an authentical Venetian experience that will let you go along the Grand Canal and admire the Rialto Bridge, as well as the sumptuous palaces, once home of the most powerful Venetian families throughout the Centuries. Arriving direclty at San Marco Square you will start the walking tour and you’ll learn about the fascinating history of Venice as you wander through this romantic maze rich in secrets and and characters like Casanova or Titian. Get stunned by the impressive S. Mark’s Square and Basilica, as well as the elegant Doge’s Palace that featu-res a typical Venetian style influenced by the Oriental architecture. At the end of the walking tour you will have time at leisure for some shopping or you may go for a gondola ride (optional), the most iconic experience in Venice.After meeting again, you’ll take the Vaporetto to reach Murano, worldwide known for its colorful houses and mostly for its handmade glasses. You will be charmed by watching the mastery of glass blowers and you will have the chance to attend a workshop to create your personal and unique Venetian souvenir. At the end, the assistant will help you board the Vaporetto to reach Venice Station where your greeter will help you board your high speed train back to Rome. Relax in the meantime after your extraordinary trip through Venetian history, art and tradition. IMPORTANT NOTE: The Gondola Ride must be booked on the spot. S.Mark’s Basilica is not open on Sundays and on Jan 1/6, Easter and Easter Monday, April 25, August 15, Nov 1st, Dec 8/25/26 - Please mind that extra closing times may occur without notice
